electrical hazard boots

I was wondering if anyone has used these type of boots, or have them now. I will be buying a pair soon.

i have and i hated the dam things. they were redwing and they were hard as rocks with zero arch support. never again.

Not all EH rated boots are the exact same. The type or style of the boot is your lack of arch support not the EH rating.

I have been wearing Rocky Mobilites at work and they are pretty comfy. We have to wear electrical hazard boots at work.

You have a ton of boot options with the EH rating.

i think my my redwings 963 boots are EH rated. awesome work boots and comfortable to wear all day after they break in.

I love my Redwings. Been using them for almost 20 years. They do take some time to break in but they're very durable in my opinion.

At my previous job, I wore Redwings, I loved them. My current job pays 100% for our boots and we have to order them online. Kind of a pain in the *** since you can't try them on, and the Chinese can't make things the same size across the board.

I have always liked wolverine boots. These are the ones I am wearing now and they are pretty comfortable for steel toe shoes.

I have a pair of Red Wing boots and like them fine, but there are plenty of brands and styles of boots and shoes that have EH ratings.

I don't think they're necessarily any different from any other boots. All of the CAT boots I own are electrical hazard rated. Great boots, love them, very comfy. Still got shocked just today due to a wet extension cord, and wet gloves even with a gfci. I don't think it's worth all that much. When you think about what they protect you from, that is current going from your hand to your feet, it doesn't sound like a typical scenario. From all of massive amounts of safety stuff I've been exposed to, it sounds like the real hazard is from one arm to the other, or any other similar combo that passes through your heart. The electrical hazard rated boots are only for standard voltages under 600v. I'm not worried about that going through my boots. The kind of voltage you worry about going through your boots (distribution high voltage) is going to go through your boots no matter what rating they have. Medium voltage is considered 600-35,000V. It's the kind of accidents you see at those voltages and above where current going though your feet is the problem, and special rated boots aren't going to do anything about that.

i work in the electrical utility and you can ask anyone whats the worst shock and they will say 9 out of 10 347
sure higher voltages as scary but they at least blow you off
