Morning, we close on our new home August 3rd and while the garage project is not one of the greatest priorities, it has been on my mind.

While looking in one of the many paint theme threads, I noticed a member did a darker color along the bottom with a lighter contrasting color at the top, separated by a white outlet strip that ran the length of the wall and had the appearance of wall moulding.

In haste I lost the thread so I took off to Google where I have found nothing while trying to narrow in on the right search phrase.

Off the top of ones head, can you guys think of a product such as this in white?

The plan is to install black Flowwall panels 3’ +/- upward from the white trim installed at the floor level, then install the white outlet strip, then from the outlet strip additional Flowwall panels upward to the ceiling.

Just search plug-mold or Wiremold products. You can get it with receptacles either 12" on center or 6"oc. One suggestion since it's going in the garage. If you have or use equipment that draws a fair amount of current I would suggest you get the 20amp rated ones and consider the split circuit ones. That way if you happen to be running say a table saw and using a shop vac for dust control you're covered. That also depends on where the electrical panel is in relation to this area.

Thank you. I’d searched so much with no results there was little chance I’d have figured out those products. Thanks for the tip [emoji1417]

You can get the Wiremold products at most big box stores like Home Depot or Lowes. They come in both plastic and metal for most of the items like the boxes, races (where you put the wires into) and stuff like that.

I personally use the plastic boxes as they are all one molded piece, and don't have the cutout lines and punch outs like the metal ones.

But that is just my personal choice. They all work great, and are a fast and easy way to get power or a switch to something or someplace.

Also, all the plastic and metal products are paintable, so once you have them installed, you can paint them to match your walls so they will blend in and not be quite as visible.
