Anybody run there service line and water in the same trench? Around here in GA electrical has to be 4' deep water would be fine at 18" to 2'.

Can't see why not. The electrical inspector leaves before the trench is backfilled.

Maybe we'll learn something here. If you say no, then tell us why.

We have shared utility trenches all the time with only water and sewer seperated for obvious reasons.

Well, if it travels outside your property at all and someone does a locate for a dig, guess what happens to the water line...

If you do it . . . mark it Personally, I've used pink foam stile sealer about 4-6" above the line. I would also "hand pad" each line to keep rocks/debris from causing future problems.

Funny, we are the exact opposite here. Water must be 4' deep electrical and gas are fine at 18" unless under a parking area - then it must be 24".

Ask you electrical inspector. Usually there is a minimum seperation. Probably 12 - 24" If so you can use the same trench by burying the electrical 4' or deeper, then partially backfill the trench and bury water at 24" or so.
