Electrical service drop - rubbing on garage shingles

The poco came out yesterday and replaced the entire drop. They deadheaded the run to and from the garage spool.

Horrible pic attached.

Being a person that's installed a lot of drops between poles and buildings what's happening is the pole is leaning from the pull of the drop. Because of the garage the drop doesn't have enough sag.

By looking at the pictures in my opinion the power company should have installed a down guy on the pole which would have raised the drop.

The length of the drop matters but if a pole leans just an inch at the contact point a drop will sag many times more.
