I finished my detached garage and have now moved on to the detached garage for the daily drivers.

House was built on 1955, tore out the drywall which was crumbling, found little insulation.

While everything is opened up I am pulling wire for addition outlets and adding boxes in the ceiling for lighting. It is is how we come into and exit our house so I want something that looks good.

This is the switch box coming out of the house. Has 2 single poles and a 3 way switch for 2 lights. Perfect world would be to get the 3 way switch converted back to 2 different single pole switches. If that is too difficult would like to replace the switches and have a 3 gang box.

Still trying to figure it out— there are 4 separate wires feeding into the box!!

The round wire is your 3-wire for your 3-way. This possibly is a end of line 3-way so no other wires are involved in the 3-way circuit in that box. One of the other 2-wires is power coming in, the other 2-wires are going out to the loads that the stacked switch is controlling. This is just a guess, without seeing the wires on the switches, it could be different. I'm sure you were talking about changing the stacked switch to 2 separate single poles, not the 3-way. That would be impossible. You could post a picture with the switches pulled out of the box, then we can tell you for sure
