There is electrical stuff I know I will almost certainly never need again. I returned a stick of 2-1/2” schedule 80 PVC conduit that wasn’t the right size. The meter riser I bought for my meter base replacement would only work with schedule 40 conduit. I got about $50 plus tax back.

Did someone say tape. This is all within about 3’ Not counting any tape in house, vehicles or the lake. Actually bought much of it at an online auction. I have a big project and then the local SPCA will get a donation. Actually my wife already gave them 4-5 rolls already. IMG_2504.jpegIMG_2503.jpegIMG_2502.jpeg
Masking tape should get sealed if you plan on keeping it a while.

"Electrical Tape Stupidity"

If having more than one roll of electrical tape (in this case 3 or 4 rolls) is "Stupidity" then I must keep reminding myself to never publicly admit on this forum how many rolls I currently own. I'd hate to embarrass myself. lolol....
I have a bunch as well, 1" colored tape in red blue yellow white orange brown purple. 1" black tape 2" black tape 2" rubber tape 1" rubber tape, 1" Tessa tape Semicon tape, glass tape, fire proof tape ,mesh shielding tape.

2" tape is gold for us and somewhat harder to get from the storeroom, they prefer to give out the 1"

partial rolls of tape are also hoarded, much easier to use in certain places than a full roll.

In college, I had summer jobs working for the maintenance dept of a university. I still remember how mad the full time guy I worked for was that I used the end of a roll of electrical tape on th cord of a vacuum instead of saving it for a special occasion. These days, I will wrap a small socket or screwdriver shaft with more than needed for a task, and use that.
