Not the best ideal. Trouble spot waiting to happen..

Best to pull new instead. If not is it possible to put a handhole?

If I ran new wire id have to replace 200ft of wire. I was hoping to use the existing wire. Id like to connect only 50ft of the exiting wire to run to my garage. I dont know **** about electrical....

Google electrical handhole box for details. Sold at Lowes, Depot. Will leave an eye sore in yard. Not the best option either but way better than any splice in conduit.

Not possible to coupling conduit as original run and pull all new conductors?

Gotcha,
Yes then a handhole might do just fine. But you'll need outdoor crimper type **** splice connectors "not the car radio type", rubber tape, then vinyl.

I wouldn't go with wire nuts or splitbolt in this application..

Have any electrical friends?

I think im going to put in a weather proof junction box and tie it in with wire nuts then wrap it with tape. This will be to code so ill give it a shot.

My thoughts on splicing conductors.
1-Make a good mechanical connection, solder the connection if it is possible.
2-With Scotch Fill putty fill the voids in the splice to make a smooth surface to tape over. You could use self vulcanizing rubber tape.
3-Wrap the connection with varnished cambric or fiberglass tape, self adhesive is preferred.
4-Paint the wrapped splice with Scotch Kote
5-Put Shrink tubing over the wrapped splice, you may choose either Cold Shrink or Heat Shrink. Shrink the tubing.
6-Close up the job, providing mechanical protection to the conductors.

My advice is guaranteed to be worth exactly what you have paid me for it.

It's still a wet location. The tape isn't going to keep the wires dry. Get a large enough box to make your splices, and use a proper underground splice kit.

I'm partial to double wall marine heat shrink where the inside melts like a hot melt adhesive to stick to whatever it shrinks onto.

This is one of those “do it right, or do it over” things.
I would go with the expensive 3M (or similar) supplies and components.
I don’t like going behind anyone and doing it over.

Ok I'm scratching my head here :headscrat

You said youre moving your utilities. So does this mean the main feed from the PoCo? If so, then they should be the ones to move those wires and it should only be 3 wires.

Also, the wires would not be 2 or 3 different sizes and especially not a reduced size neutral....

need some more info here.... what is this for?

You don't splice wires in a conduit. You can put in a splice box but it has to remain accessible, you can't cover it up with dirt.

This is another reason direct bury isn't bad. You can splice it wherever you want and run it to a different place.

I've never seen a utility company run a full size neutral...
