I'm looking to upgrade the lighting in my garage but would rather have an electrician do it so I don't burn anything down. Any ideas on how much it should cost?

I'm looking to add 6 new T5 fixtures and 2 fans. The ceiling is about 11ft high and finished drywall with no attic above it.

Here's a very rough sketch of the plan I came up with:

Depends on your location,I try to charge around $125 hour plus materials and that's about average here in nj,some places are cheaper because cost of living is cheaper.

My rate would be $120 first hr 80 every hr after. The electrical wireing would most likely be in emt surface mount, that would be the best wayto do the electric for the labor cost. Trying to install wireing inside the sheet rock would be labor intence and material cost will go up because of the sheet rock repair that will have to get done.

Have you concidered doing it youself and hiring an electrician to come in and advise you then inspect your work before it is hard wired in?
