Is it possible to put a pass through panel with a main breaker before my current home panel and then run power from the pass through to a new shop. I have a 200a panel, and I only have one spot left for a 220-240v breaker and I can only get 60a of 220 to the shop, I want/need more than that.

Thanks

My Dad (RIP) had electric running underground from the pole, into the garage where it came to a main breaker. From there, it split. Part of it went to the garage's breaker, the other went underground to the house panel. I can't remember if the barn was also split off, but near the end of his life, had a shed that was wired off the main breaker in the garage.

Ask the utility if they will double tap the meter base to add a 100A panel for you, or if they will allow you to hire it out. Depends on your setup, but there are meter panels with double taps available, including a breaker.
