Electrolysis solution question

Ok, I've started using electrolysis as a rust killer and it works great. My questions is about the solution. I'm using 20 gallons of water with washging soda and I want to know if I need to dump it out after every use, or if I can use it multiple times over several months or if there is a limit to how long the solution can set?

I used it for a vise and was impressed with the results. I left the solution in the bucket for a couple of weeks now and want to use it again and just don't know if I should start over each time or not.

Thanks.

I normally just add more water, but I use a graphite plate not steel for an anode. I don't get all the scum with the graphite, skim it off, add more water if needed and see how it works out.
