Some of you already know about this, I can't take credit for coming up with it. Not wanting to build a tank, this seemed like a viable option. I started with a piece of an old bed sheet, soaked it in a solution of water, vinegar, and salt. Layed the sheet over the lathe bed, covered it with 2 layers of aluminum foil, put some bricks on it to keep the wind at bay, maybe get better contact, and keep down evaporation. Negative to the bed, positive to the aluminum foil.

This is the 2nd round - overnight, my bed sheet dried out; if I were to do it again, I'd leave the bed sheet long and let the end soak in a bucket of the electrolyte, maybe keep it wet through capillary action.
