While many 4-post manufacturers say they don't need to be anchored down, I intend to...

However, I need to gain an extra 5" of runway clearance to my Atlas Garage pro 9000 EXT. It currently has 81" clearance underneath and I need to get it to 86" in order to fit a taller vehicle beneath. The lift will solely be used as a storage lift for a corvette.

I laid out the locations of the columns and drilled 3/16" test holes.. Concrete slab thickness varies from 4"-4.5".

My thoughts are 3/4" drop-ins with 3/4" all-thread, washers and leveling nuts to get desired height. The form and pour grout pads. Has anyone done similar?

that should work just fine.. but you may need to make / get some longer ramp extensions to keep the angle decent for driving onto. You could make some out of stepped 2x4's, or maybe get a set of race ramps to toss under the end of the metal ramps on the lift

Yeah, I'm aware. Fix one problem to create another.

honestly so long as the bolts go well into the base concrete. you could use hardwood as spacing.. it won't crush and if it's oil/treated won't rot out
