Eliminate profile posts?

Between the frequent posting of personal info, confusion between profile posts and PM's and new users using them instead of threads, the profile posts section seems to create more trouble than added value.

Can it be disabled?

Never even knew of profile posts before you mentioned it. How is it I never saw them? Some setting?

I mainly access the site with this link, which shows them at the bottom. I've personally "reported" a bunch with personal info

Just reported another with an address and one more was posted by someone using it as a PM.

@larry4406 may get bored if these do get closed though...

Scrolling through them, the only intentional posts are satirical to make fun of the functionality.

It seems they generated more of a PITA dealing with the reports on them what they were worth. Members still have the use of PMs.
