eliminating a 3 way switch

I have some spot lights around the garage that are controlled by a switch inside the house and one in the garage.

Would it be possible for me to remove the switch in the garage? I really have no use for it, and it really just causes confusion. The house is a far distance away from the garage so it would be difficult to remove all the wiring, but hopefully there is something I can do.

Just connect the common with one of the other switch legs (check the markings on the switch) with a wire nut. Remove the switch. Cover the other switch leg with a wire nut. Install a blank wall plate.

I did this with a couple of switches in my house when we moved in last year. You can find the wiring diagrams and sepcifics on how to ID the wires by Googling...try something like 'convert 3 way light switch'. That's how I got the info needed. Let me know if you're unable to find it, I probably put the hard copies with the house paperwork.

Thanks alot guys, I figured I could do something like that just wanted to makes sure. I have a good Black and Decker Wiring book, but after I organized my garage I cant find it. lol

Set the one in the garage (that I assume you do not use) to the position that allows the one in the house to operate in a normal up is on, down is off fashion, and fabricate a guard to go over the switch, and forget about it.
