This is the only "Code reader" I had.

Got it for Christmas one year-----junk, it only reads generic codes------and WILL NOT clear them----- but what are ya gonna do. :dunno:

So I picked this guy up for $6.50 (blue tooth) and the "Torque" app. $4.99 for my phone.------works pretty darn good for quick checks.

If you do get one of these C-word "knock offs" DO NOT LOAD THE CD----THROW IT AWAY
This one has 2 "Trojans" and an "Infostealer" on it :scared::rant: (I virus scanned it just to see what goodies were there).

I guess this is the Asian symbol for "Don"t use"

Well I wanted a little more in-depth tool (PC based) for diagnostic use-----so another "knock-off" for $10.00.

The cd included with this guy is OKAY-------has some very limited "free" software on it-----but no real graphing and such.

This is the "software" I am looking heavy at------http://www.glmsoftware.com/Features.aspx

For $80.00, it's within my price range and needs.

I will be only using this occasionally, not to run a business :lol:----------just----"DAD MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON"

What do ya think?

I only work on Fords, but I like FORSCAN with an ELM327.

It is very comprehensive and free (forscan.org).

What make do you work on?

It's been Mostly G.M. stuff here lately. But my Daughter just bought an older Sable.
So the link you provided will be downloaded shortly :D

Are these things still $10, I'm considering getting them as x-mas gifts. The Bluetooth versions. So people can stop bugging me and I can get amusement when they the code will tell them exactly what to do.
