Embed YouTube Videos?

Is there a way to embed youtube videos so that they play directly in a thread?

How?

None of the normal embed methods work for me.

Html is turned off, and the YouTube BB code isn't installed/enabled.

Edit:1 I think Html used to be enabled, but I remember a spammer setting a redirect script that took everyone from a thread to their spam page.

Edit:2 It looks like it's allowed in some threads but not others

I would guess there are separate settings in vBulletin for each sub forum.

Embedded YouTube is allowed in some sub forums, but not in others; i.e. General Tool, but not Free Parking.

Use the embed code generated by YouTube (share button).

I was able to use the standard iframe embed a video in a tool section post. I thought the object method would have been necessary, but it took the iframe w/o issue.

It's enabled in General Garage Discussion, but not in the Garage Gallery. I don't know why it wouldn't be enabled in all the subforums. But that's Ryan's call.

As long as it works in general tool discussion I won't complain.

Enabling YouTube BB code and turning off the html would be safer for the forum, but I don't think there have been many spammers plugging in redirect scripts or anything of the sort in the past. Just that one occasion.

At one time I could but now it is not working all I see is the code I enter. I tried it in my own thread that I embedded in the past and now it won't work.
