Emerson Electric Motor

So I picked up a belt driven craftsman grinder today, the whole rig looks like it was assembled in the late 50’s by a pretty decent guy. This is the electric motor that came with it

Looks like a pretty solid motor, the remote oil tube for the front oilite bearing is peculiar, almost as if it was designed to run pointing down. It actually would make sense if the motor had been sourced from a washing machine, but 1/6hp seems half of what I've seen on older washing machine motors.
