I know that dewalt bought emglo compressors, and that they aren't any good anymore, but what is the deal with some being labeled Sawyer, some being labeled Jenny? I'd like to get an older one that was made in the USA, but I dont understand what the difference is between the Sawer emglo and the Jenny emglo. Help?

I own a Dewalt Emglo Compressor - Have owned it for around 7-8 Years - It has treated me great, I have treated it not so great, never changed the the oil or anything, it has ran my plasma cutter just fine, nail guns, etc.... Now that is 7-8 years ago so I can't say how they are now a days...

I'm talking the big boys, ie 2 stage with an 80+ gallon tank and a three phase motor. My uncle has a Sawyer emglo set up like that, and I love it. I was just wondering as to the differences between the naming nomenclature so I know what to look for in the old USA models.

Jenny air compressors are USA made--at least USA assembled. Jenny bought emglo's USA manufacturing assets from DeWalt when B&D/DeWalt was leaving the USA.

From the Jenny website: On November 20, 2003, Jenny purchased the Emglo line of Industrial Stationary Air Compressors and the entire Air Compressor Pump Manufacturing Facility from Black&Decker/DeWalt prior to the relocation of their plant to Renosa, Mexico. Jenny and our affiliated companies had been supplying and manufacturing a large number of parts, components, and assemblies for Emglo for over 30 years.
