Long story but my garage is empty and I want to build it out. Floor coating, slatwall, cabinets , lighting, insulation, basically the works. the garage is 23 deep x 21 wide , raised ranch type home. 8"4 height with a 3" wide curb on 2 walls both exterior. Looking at the house they would be on the back and left walls. I'm thinking Polyaspartic coating for the floor. I was wondering if you guys that have been through this could help me shorten the learning curve a little bit. My truck is to big to fit in here so it's more of a storage room/ work shop more than a garage.
1) Are all poly aspartic floor coatings created equal as far as the process and materials used? I've had Garage experts & Hello Garage here already and GL is coming this week. Concrete is in awesome shape.
2) Cabinets- On wall or free standing? How big of a difference is the weight capacity for the wall hung? I'm think since I have the curb to do the wall hung, but would like 24" deep on the back wall. Anyone have an opinion on the 18" depth on the side wall cabinets? I need more of the tall double door storage lockers than anything else. I fish inshore/offshore and hunt so my stuff can be bulky.
3) Was looking at the PVC proslat for the walls. Anyone having any concerns or other recommendations or are they all basically the same.
4) overhead racks- I'd like to do 6'D x 19'W of these on the back wall over the cabinets.
5) I think I have spent the better part of a week trying to figure out which electric heater to use . Other than knowing I want to make it a plug in design I'm still nowhere LOL.
