Enco spring loaded center punch won't.

Hey guys,

I was in love with my Enco spring loaded center punch right up until it quit working. I took it apart and it's not intuitively obvious to me why it doesn't "hit" when you press it in now. Instead of that nice solid "pop" when all the way depressed it gives more of a "click" and I don't even get a visible punch mark.

Seems like it's so simple I should be able to fix it?

There are two sheer surfaces that when pressed pushes the hammer back if they are worn and rounded then it stops working

I'll take it apart again and look for anything rounded. Maybe I could file it back flat.
