x4. I had one order screwed up, but it really wasn't their fault. I ordered 1 1/4" acme thread and nuts to build jack stands, and 5 of the nuts wouldn't thread on the rod, the width of the thread was too narrow on the nuts.:headscrat I called them up, and not only did they send me 5 more no questions asked, they went through their entire stock of nuts and weeded out the bad ones, so nobody else got them either.

Oh, they sent the 5 of them overnight shipping even though I told them I didn't need them fast, they insisted.

I was just looking at the Enco catalog. Is that Starret square made in the USA? A lot of the Starrett stuff at that price must be produced off-shore, no?

Starrett does have off-shore productions but the squares are still made here. I was concerned that it was not USA made when I received it because it doesn't say it anywhere on the ruler like older models I have seen. However, if you visit the website, it says if the item is USA made. I emailed Starrett to check as well. This was there reply:

Hi Andrew, thank you for your email. Yes, the 33 series combination squares are continued to be manufactured in the USA. Although it is not indicated on the tool any longer, it is listed on our web site, and in our catalog. If you ever have any question on where our product is manufactured, feel free to email or call 888-674-7443 and we will be happy to assist you.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
