We recently built this end table for my dad's girlfriends house. The stone in the top is a piece of antique marble that came from my dad's aunt. The legs were some she already had. Everything else was made by us from raw materials. The scrolls are hand bent using a couple of tools I made. A local glass company cut and ground the glass top for us.

Thanks for the good words guys. I have some more to share when I get time for some pictures. You would definitely not want to stub your toe on this table in the morning. The whole thing is made out of 1/2 in barstock other than the marble tray and the scrolls. It's not going to blow away in the wind.

Great job - you could sell those of you made more....

What do you guys think people would be willing to pay for something like this? This was a custom piece to fit that center piece of antique marble so it took a bit longer than it normally would have. I've thought about making a couple of "show" pieces and seeing how well they sell. If they don't sell I figure I could always just put them in my house.
