My first time posting on Garage Journal. Seems to be many people here who are very knowledgeable about tools. Every time I do a Google search about tools this Forum appears.

I'm currently looking at ratcheting screwdrivers. Anyone have the Enderes XV-1, comments? I have not been able to find any online distributor that carries the XV-1. I called Enderes and they mentioned a new design. In addition, Enderes will only sell direct in lots of 10 units.

Here is a photo of the XV-1:

I've never used one, but, from what I can see from the picture, it looks to use double ended bits. That would probably rule out using anything other than proprietary bits. That would sure make it hard to use torx or some other type of bits.

Klein and several others use double ended bits in the 4-in-1 and 6-in-1 style screwdrivers. The 6-in-1 screwdrivers usually use two shank sizes so that with the bit removed you can use the empty shaft as a nut driver. 1/4" and 5/16" being most common. Ace Hardware carries several shank sizes.

I've never seen that style of Enderes, but have used several of their other screwdrivers and they are tough as nails! If this new one is as good as the other's I've used I'd say it'd be a great tool.

Never used one, but there's a guy on eBay selling them for around $15 shipped. Search for item 190508831454.

Looks like it uses all double ended bits and holds them in the handle... picture is grainy, but looks to have flat, phillips, sqaure, and torx bits.

I have some of their 6 n 1 screwdrivers and like them.

I have had one for about 10 years and love it. Its my go to screwdriver, anytime wrenching at home. Mine has several philips, straight, torx, and robertson (square). I like the fact that it isnt heavy or bulky. Mine has worked flawlessly. My M-I-L bought it for me at our local hardware when I was doing some work for her. One of the best gifts she has ever given me, besides her daughter, ;);) Our hardware was a servistar at the time.
