I have an enerpac p80 hydraulic hand pump "OLD" that I put a new tune up kit in. I also put a new 10,000PSI gauge on it, now when I jack it up it goes up fine until I hit 4,000 PSI then the handle gets hard to push and once I let go the PSI starts to drop slowly. What could cause this to happen? I checked the specs and the balls should be 7/32 and 5/16, well the small ball is showing 13/32 could this be what is causing my issue?
