Engine hoist or floor jack on Racedeck?

I have been reading up on Racedeck flooring and I haven't seen any mention of using an engine hoist (cherry picker) or a floor jack. Just wondering how the small steel wheels roll on the Racedeck tiles when they are loaded with the weight of a car or an engine.

We have many customers and ourselves who use engine lifts, 4 post lifts, etc with no issue.. here is one photo I found of a RaceDeck customer

Hi @RaceDeck1 how well do the Free-Flow ones hold up to these kinds of abuse? Also, when you say no issues, do you mean no issues with rolling steel wheels on these types of flooring? Do the tiles get damaged, gouged, or scratched when rolling steel wheels such as the OP mentioned? I’m really interested in your product to help finish up my garage the way I envisioned it. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance and I think this is a great Forum being able to communicate with the CEO’s/President’s of actual companies.

I’ve rolled my car on casters on the 4 post with no issues. This doesn’t have metal wheels (rolling area has costing) but for effort, it’s been fine.

My FreeFlow was gouged by the one pair of jack stands that I have. Those have no turned edge on the bottom just the edge of the steel. I made some plywood pads for the to set upon. My floor jack rolls fine, loaded or unloaded. CJDave.

Anything with feet or wheels will squish the free flow tiles. Sometimes it leaves a permanent scar and sometimes not. I have heavy cabinets that do just fine, or even moving my 4 post lift is okay, but like CJDave mentioned, I use plywood if I want to jack up a vehicle.

To clarify: I use pads under my pair of cheaper jack stands. The floor jack wheels seem to be OK on my floor. The front end of a 1969 Mach 1 with a 428 is plenty heavy. CJDave.

I currently have 2 loaded engine stand on my diamond RaceDeck floor and found that after sitting for a couple of days you could see/feel noticeable divots from the point contact of the metal wheels. if you are going to store something heavy with wheels I suggest you place a piece of 16 guage steel plate underneath it to distribute the weight as I did.
