Engine hoist storage ideas

Does anyone have any unique ideas for storing engine hoists? I have a 24 x 30 and space is a premium, so I'd like to find a way to build a cabinet or something to house the hoist when folded. Maybe have a hook for the load leveler as well. Anyone have something simular?

I break mine down and store it in the basement of my house... along with my engine stand.

Hang from ceiling is what i do. Breaking it down also sounds like a good idea if you dont use it that much.
I used to keep mine outside, but that *****.

I found a hoist on craigslist for a buck a couple of years back. The guy was remodeling his garage and wanted it out of his way. He had taken it apart and screwed the parts to the wall. If he hadn't wanted to take that particular wall down it would still be there, out of the way.

I put an "I" beam & trolley in mine - doesn't waste an inch of floor space!

i bought a engine crane pull 2 pins then fold legs up for when not in use.my shop is only 24x26 this crane works good for me.

18 x 20 garage here, i take most of the long flat components apart and store it under the workbench, the rest sits in the corner

Blaz, thats sorta how mine is sitting now. My garage is drywalled and insulated so the i-beam idea is out of the question. I like the idea of hanging it from the wall, I guess I need to figure out some brackets and such. I use mine maybe 1-2 times a year, but I have a project coming in pretty soon. 98 Expedition with a locked up 4.6 engine.

Ditto on taking it apart. Brake it down and hang it on a wall. Draw a out line of the parts so when you use it again it will be easier to rehang it once done.

i have a fold up unit--i keep it in my OTHER storage building[12 x 40]--along with my other extra parts---it comes in handy over there but if i need it at home i just roll it on my smaller trailer and bring it back
otherwise just take it apart and hang it to the wall
