That is great! One of the projects on my list is a geared engine stand using a hub from a front wheel drive car and part of the half shaft.

Nice garage also, I think you need a couple more compressors!

(Why) Because I like to machine and build things. Do I need it no, but it dose make it nice.

i'm sorry to say, i'm not following what you built there. i understand what you say you built, but i cant figure out how it works. perhaps you could post a video of it in operation?

i missed the video in the first post, nicely built, a little overkill but cool. tell me more about that i beam please. i want to put one across my garage (15').

The beam is 12" x6 1/2" was in the house when built. I want to build on a addtion to the side of the present garage it will be 24x48 and I want to put another beam just like it to move that hoist to. I have lifted my 4200# lathe with it no problem.

my dad like to make things better,he made a engine stand with a (i think it was a model t)steering gear on the head and a steering wheel so it was easier to spin the motor,model t because the gear would go all the way around.we still have it
