engine stands

Anyone buy a new engine stand lately? I have a couple of engines I'm going to start on and going to upgrade the HF 3 stick stand.seen some from AXE manufacturing.Or anyone build their own? I would love to have a couple K.R. Wilson stands but don't know too much about them except they are cool cast iron pieces and pricey if you can find one.

Go for one with four wheels. Those three wheelers are kind of scary to move around with an engine on 'em, especially on a rough or seamed floor.

Maybe I'll read it better the first time next time.

I like the looks of these. They do take up space.

i know you have an HF but you just can beat the price of engine stands at hF, they are at low as $45

I've got the HF Orange 3-wheeled stand. I hate it. It was fabbed wrong, so the engine slopes down a good 10deg or so. I had it too long to pack it up and return it.

It holds my little Honda Aluminum block engines fine, but anything more than that would be pushing it, IMO.

gsport is right, CL is the way to go! There are some things that are not worth buying used, but an engine stand is not one of them!

I have the Cornwell badged version of this one.

One of the issues I have with this type of stand is when I use it in conjunction with my cherry picker. The legs of the stand and picker **** up to each other not allowing enough room to mount the engine to the stand. Just something to consider.
