Picked up a unusual engineers style tool box at the car boot today ,
All made of aluminium , I've seen plenty of steel or wood ones but never alloy
Seems factory made ,all riveted construction and very neat folds .

I'm wondering if its from a military background ,although the gloss green is not in keeping with other army stuff

And the picture is upside down , my iPad keeps doing that

From what i have seen for military chests, that is a good possibility, most i've seen are a top chest and have a few drawers, but that could easily be an older style.
*edit*
After googling "Old military tool chest" and going to images, i found a lot of similar, but not quite the same styled boxes.

I have a smaller aluminum box similar to that one, Has the drop in front and top latch also, but made differently. I suspect it was for taking aboard larger aircraft, or was made as an exercise while training people to manufacture planes from aluminum.

I was very pleased to find it, the sellers had scattered the the drawers about , all full of junk , they were surprised that I wanted to buy the complete thing ?
I paid £6 ( about $12 ) haggled down from £8
Went home happy
It measures 14.5" wide, 12.5"high, 9.5" deep
