So I bought a lot of Grey impact sockets, since they only have laser markings for size which is fine for me.

But when that mark wears off id like to engrave the size into it.

Can you engrave impact sockets?

If i can put a dent in it with a hammer i'm pretty sure it can be engraved.

I would not recommend it as you are creating stress risers that could lead to breakage.

An electric etch would probably burn in a good job. I have one that that attaches to a 12 volt battery that works well.

Thats what I have to, I got an electric dremel one I use for marking my wrenches and other tools.

Well if and when my markings come off ill give it a try.
