I'm in the process of A stick built garage that is 32 x 46 with 2 x 6 walls and 2 inch perimeter foam. My contractor just asked me if I wanted a entry door with a 10 inch jam for the purpose of opening the door more than 90° or beveling the 2 inch. But my question was how was the rest of the interior be finished. I am thinking it may be more than I need or a bit extreme also a thermal break there and by the overhead door. Would appreciate any thoughts on addressing these areas ASAP. I am having the foam covered in metal up to the sill plate for protection. So 2' x 2" with roughly a foot above slab.
