We are getting ready to clean and paint our front entry door. There is trim at the bottom of the sidelights that have harden and pulled away. I am not even sure what the part is called to go about searching from replacement??

can't really tell from the pics, but it looks like the sealant has oozed out and just needs to be trimmed & cut off .
if the plastic mouldings are compromised, you need a new lite as you won't get any parts likely.
or are you talking the bottom of the door, that's called a sweep and they are relatively a universal fit

Had time to dig further in, the trim is 1 piece and goes under the sidelight to the inside as well. urrrr not tearing the side light out of the door frame.

Do those sidelites open? Just curious because the threshold goes all the way across.

I have sidelites on my front door but they are separate units (windows) and not part of the door unit.

No, they do not open.
I will probably go with OccupantRJ suggestion, trim away the bad plastic trim and add pvc trim.

I just dealt with this last month, and did exactly what was suggested above. I trimmed away the old gasket material, filled all the gaps up with Lexel sealant, then I stuck on a quarter round PVC trim with more Lexel on both flat faces and shot it in with a few finish nails to keep it in place while the sealant cured.

It all but disappeared once it was painted the same color as the rest of the frame and sidelites. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to replace it in the future with the amount of sealant used, but realistically I’m just trying to get another 10 years out of an existing door unit.

One other note - using mag wheel cleaner and steel wool you can really get the aluminum threshold looking great again. It’ll take off the oxidation and clean up all the years of gunk. I spent about two hours cleaning the threshold before I painted and I’m very glad I did, it made a big difference.
