Not trying to thread jack, but how does one request the rock n roll truck to visit? I found their main Facebook and sent them a message requesting more info. They said only my dealer can schedule them a visit/i cannot make custom orders straight from me to the rock n roll. My dealer is the type that wouldn't want to schedule them...

What exactly do you think the RnR truck guy is going to do for ya that your regular guy isn't? I mean all the RnR truck is is a rolling showroom with a sales guy who does nothing but help your regular guy get boxes sold. Yes, the RnR guy will present some special package deals, and it does help get a lot of people to buy stuff since they can lay hands on one in person on the RnR truck to help make the decision, but your regular guy can sell the same stuff to ya at the same prices.......If I disliked my regular weekly visit SO man, then I'd probably buy a Matco box..... or maybe call a regional manager type and discuss it with him and let him know you want certain stuff but don't want to deal with the regular SO man.

I picked up a KRSC410 for the shop at the house. It has a different drawer configuration but that got me a better price. I think eventually I'll trade it in on one of those EPIQ carts.

No this is a sidekiq:

This does NOT have ISO-ride casters, a folding top, prybar storage, or a $5000 price tag. Rumor has it this new one is around $3000 MSRP.

But you are correct about both being a single bank epiq roll cart

it was discussed here

http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=300452

local dealer guy has one, hes the lube tech, waited till snap did 25% off accessories that for it down to 2400 200 rebate 2200 dealer ate the tax 2200 out the door, its a nice box build like a tank 2200 nice not too sure about that

So its basically a full drawer version of their mobile work station. 3k though? Another insane price.

IMHO with all due respect...the only thing insane is thinking anybody would pay MSRP for a truck box....personally I saw the 3k price tag and thought to myself, SWEET...that will make for an affordable piece at "real world pricing"

No need...as I mentioned earlier in this thread, a while back I had quoted a KRSC100 from my normal dealer...and then 8 months later when the Rock N Roll truck was in town I hopped on and the quoted price was much higher then my normal drivers...The pros to the Rock N Roll are pretty well documented here, but if your just looking for a standard, off the shelf config or color, a normal SO Driver will be much more beneficial to you.

yep, they cannot do a better price than your normal driver, they can waive the custom order fees, but price is 100% up to your driver

They offered me a 68 with hutch for 10k or an 84 with hutch for 11k. No trade in.

I ended up buying a 68 without hutch for 5500 from my dealer. It's all up to your dealer

Well, MSRP for the carts, prior to them going to $1800+, really wasn't all that bad considering how useful and large they were for the cash comparative to a double bank box at 2-3x the price. Generally speaking there wasn't much haggle room on the carts either. The EPIC cart and now the full drawer workstation list prices are just raising the bar well into the realm of stupid. Also bear in mind not every dealer haggles to the extent of bringing these carts down to a reasonable price and likewise the best deals on these expensive items come from shows which, again, not all dealers attend.

I really like the full drawer workstation, yeah I know msrp is 3995, but my dealer offer me one at 25% off so 2996 isn't that bad, its not a cart its a single bay 30" deep box that will hold a lot of tools but isn't so big you cant move it around. I think they got something their if dealers will deal on them a bit.

This topic has come back up for me. My dealer is still kinda new, so he had me chat directly with the R&R toolbox guy. He told me the full drawer workstations are really being put out there for sale and said he has one on his truck. I want to add about 30% more drawer space to my 84" roller and it appears an Epiq mobile workstation as a side box is my best option.

the taller sidekiq version is the same height as the epiqs. Thought a few times about bolting mine onto my box. I just wish they'd make the slide out powerbank for the epiqs like they do for the KRL's

I know they are shorter than the Sidekiq. I'm guessing the same height as the KRSC100 cart. I will leave it separate from my main, anyway. Besides, I'm not a fan of flip top carts as I always seem to need whats under the lid while there's something on top and end up filling that space with junk I never use and should toss out anyway.

Interesting. I never even knew such a thing existed so I had to look it up.
On a side note I am very happy with my sidekiq.

Well I did call snap on about a month ago about the new kemw mobile workstation and there were only two colors available, they did tell me more would be out in the middle of may, since then snap on website has them posted with a ton of colors, even sapphire blue, gunmetal, and berry. But my dealer hasn't said anything about a sale, he spoke to rock and roll guy and all he will do is 15% off. Surely they have some promotion coming to kick these off??? hoping so. Yes they are same width and height as krsc101 but I believe they are 4" deeper, making it a full 30 inches
