I suppose this is very handy and probably over due. Eventually there will be retro fit kits available so you don't have to buy an epiq to get it. Hopefully there's a back up for when you lose the remote.

As long as they keep the physical key tumbler access, I see no big deal.
But I;d love to see how that works.

If it replaces a key itself, I see hilarity to ensue.

It would be more fun then when I saw a guy on a production floor who forgot his box keys and had too many points against his attendance record to clock out and go home to get his keys ath he just drilled all of his locks out before the work start buzzer ran so he could do his job.
And yes, the mgmt. was happy to fire him if he was lnon-compliant and it was a $50k a year job he had.

If only a fob, now he would be running around looking for batteries instead of borrowing a drill. Hahahahahaha.

It's like cars with only one keyed door and a fob and it locks you IN like what happend to that couple a few weeks ago. My car won't let me get out! ZOMG.

Forward into the "wired in" fog.

Love the idea. Now all they need are proximity keys. Keep the Fob in your pocket and the box automatically locks when you walk away.

Its a neat idea they had it before then it disapeered for some reason. But the shop door is usually unlocked so whats the purpose of locking my toolbox I guess.

its a nice-ity but not a neccessity, how much would a replacement key fob cost compared to a normal tumbler key?

False alarms everytime a over cammed loud box rolls by...

Nice idea but I don't know if a really good idea, guess we'll see.

It doescome with the traditional lock too. It can not be retrofitted to older boxes as of now. It's only available on the Epiq boxes and it only has a one year warranty.

It is cool and convienant but if it ever malfunctions I'm not quite sure how I'd fix it for my customers.

First time I see one with a key fob but they have had the keyless lock with prox cards for years. They sell them on the industrial side of the buisness.
