At a local restaurant last night and they have installed a good looking epoxy and heavy flake on part of the sidewalk and entry. Sealer/clear will be put on after closing time.

Are any of these products approved for exterior floors. I have a patio and front porch that would look good with it. Neither get any, or very limited direct sunlight and covered by their roofs, porch open on one side, patio on 3.

It’s not epoxy, but a Polyurea coating. Epoxy would yellow with the UV outside. We just had our patio and front porch done last week. Full 100% flake and the contractor offered about 50 flake combinations or a custom mix. Sealed with a top coat with a gator grip additive for slip resistance.

Thanks, that looks exactly like flake color the restaurant used. The guy doing it said it was epoxy. But a lot of people seem to use epoxy like we do Kleenex, everything similar gets tagged with the same name.

With 100% flake distribution U.V. exposure is not a concern for epoxy coatings.

We have a Full-Flake Kit designed specifically for this with a special-flexible receiver coat.

UV resistant flakes have now just become available. Use of them along with Polyaspartic coating should give many years of long life outside. Contact us direclty for a quote since these new flakes are not on our website.
