epoxy and humidity

I just finished a 20x40 metal shop.I have 5 , 1 gallon rust-oleum epoxy shield kits.according to the instructions the temp needs to be75-85 degree range and humidity needs to be low.I live in central Georgia,it will be October before this happens.We always have hot humid days.How much does this affect the epoxy

I had the same question, I also am in georgia, but basically you can do it in the morning/evening. Although, I think the only issue with the higher temps is it will dry faster, I had someone helping me so we got it down pretty quickly, however one part that was directly being hit by the sun was a little tacky on the 2nd backroll.

Same problem here. I haven't even ordered my wolverine stuff yet because it's been 100 degrees by 10 am. I'll never get it down in a 1200 sq/ft garage in time with those temps.

I'll be putting coverings over my windows to reduce glare and sunlight.

Rent a dehumidfier,and use it up until the epoxy is installed. We do this on concrete floors to bring the moisture content down in the concrete before floors are installed.

I did my floor yesterday with the Rustoleum kit. I think the temp is more important than humidity, though high humidity will effect drying time. According to the instructions 85 is the high.

High humidity will cause an epoxy floor system to "Blush".
It's a cloudy white messy mess that you don't want to have to deal with.

Wait for a better day or condition the air in the room to be coated.
Running a fan will help kill the humidity in the room.
