Epoxy and Racedeck?

Hey, I have a new garage i'm building. The pad was poured a few weeks ago. After the floor was done I had a careless demo guy drop some brick mortar on the new pad while doing the demo. It created some little chips in the new cement. I was planning on doing Racedeck Freeflow for the floor but now i'm thinking i may need to epoxy it first just to take care of the chips. What are people's opinions on this? Should I epoxy it or should I just RD over it? I don't want the chips to get any worse. Opinions?

If you're talking epoxy and race deck, you'll be upwards of $5/sq.ft for the project. For that kind of money, just get porcelain professionally installed. Racedeck can cover most any concrete problem, just put it down. I agree, we need pics to see what you are talking about. I don't see how dropped mortar would "chip" concrete.

I wouldn't epoxy the whole floor unless the money is falling out of your pocket lol... Post a pics of the damage. A simple patch and then racedeck should be good, depending on the pics of course.
