Epoxy anti-slip/silica question

I'm doing a small residential basement floor that is intended to be a combination utility/laundry area. I am wondering if I should apply the anti-slip colloidal silica uniformly over the floor or if I should apply it heavier on a path leading from the door to the laundry machines?

Thanks

That's what I get for posting after a beer. Try to sound smart, end up sounding stupid. :willy_nil

It's grit. Sold to me by the manufacturer. The question is whether I should apply it uniformly or heavier on the expected traffic route?

Hey we were just having fun.

Uniformly produces the best aesthetic results, if you don't care what it looks like, then put it where you need it.

I always try for an even look.

Thanks guys. You recommend broadcasting as opposed to rolling it in from a tray?

Depends what you are using. Heavier media like aluminum oxide or fine sand will sink like a rock, better for broadcasting. Tabular alumina can be mixed in and worked from a tray.

Tabular alumina

How "soft" is tabular alumina compared against aluminum oxide or the engineered polymer that Alpha Garage sells?

I would like to use something that won't make it hard to clean. From what I read, aluminium oxide does make it hard to clean (and my experience confirms that).
