Epoxy-coat acid question

I started my floor, I first cleaned it and power washed the floor with a degreaser.. The floor is about a year old with no bad stains, just had a very small spot about 3 inches and a couple of dark tire stains from Turning in the garage with tires. After the cleaning the floor it looked pretty good.. So I did the acid wash with the supplied acid from my epoxy-coat kit.. Now is the acid suppose to smoke or smell? Cause neither of that happened, I mixed it just like it said mix with 5 quarts of water with the acid ,wet the concrete and spray the acid prep down and scrub with brush then move on to the next section and keep everything wet at all times, then I rinsed and scrubbed again and kept rinsing and sqeechy all the water out the garage.. I cranked up the heat, and as it dries it kinda looks darker in some spots then others some spots have a rougher spot then others.. I'm worried that the acid prep I thought was actually the aluminum grip they add in there kit, it looked kinda like sparkles and white it had the instructions in the bag that told me how to use it.. When I called epoxy coat they told me that was the acid prep, I said on your website it looks like the gripption stuff, cause the floor prep was in a small container but they say its no longer in a container and its in a small bag. They said I didn't get any of the aluminum grip powder.. Idk. I'm gonna get some pictures for you guys, I still have one bag left and will take a picture of that also..I just hope this is done right and I can epoxy it.. Also how long can I wait to put the epoxy down after the acid wash? I plan on doing it this weekend, there's nothing in the garage or on the floor and the heat is on so its drying completely.. Thx guys

It looks like a citric acid crystal mix from Epoxy-Coat. It's not going to smoke or smell and your pics look fine for a citric acid mix. You will experience some areas feeling rougher than others due to the fact that the density of the surface of your concrete will not be the same throughout the floor.

You should be good waiting till next weekend unless the humidity is high all week. To be safe, you can always do the plastic sheet test the night before to make sure there isn't anymore moisture that is being wicked to the surface to dry.

The concrete should feel like 100-120 grit sandpaper when your done. Baking soda will not affect the drying, just the neutralizing. Enough water used during the rinsing will neutralize it also. The phosphoric acid we supplied will not smell like the muriatic acid, but should have done the job.
