Hello,
I have a really big problem and I need help/advise/recommendations!

I purchase enough epoxy-coat to complete my 750 sq.ft garage. Phase I: Prep Surface and Phase II: Apply Coating went well. However Phase III(Optional): Apply Clear Coat is a disaster. First let me say it is my fault for not completely understanding that the clear coat followed the same process as Phase II laying down the epoxy. Because the content in both containers looked the same I was under the impression it was a single stage application. Nevertheless, now I know the clear coat is the same as the color application it's just the clear does not have pigment. And of course, the small (4) individual bottles with the letters CC on the cap does not mean - Clear Cloat but someone's initials at the plant and non of the other containers had initials on them.

My delima is I poured the content of contents of bucket A and B in the same bucket. Then mixed it with the provided mixer and laid it down on top of the cured surface. Well after two days it was still sticky so I called Epoxy-Coat and was told the clear followed the same instructions as laying down the color. So I understand that I have more of Bucket A then Bucket B (hardner). They suggested buying another kit to redo the floor (with just color). But I can not justify another $500 even though it is my mistake. I also, understand the ratio for Bucket A and Bucket B is hard to determine so can I purchase hardner and roll it on top of the Resin?

The other suggestion is let is try and cure or scrap up the sticky stuff / risk damage to the floor and leave as-is. What would you do in this situation?

Thanks,
Rus

Start scraping and wiping while it's still gooey. Once dried you will kill the base coat trying to grind it off. You are likely going to have to recoat no matter what or be prepared to look at a mess everyday, reminding you of this.

Stick it a sign that it is beginning to cure. You stated above that you did mix part "A" with part "B", so it could be that the mixing ratio is off, and might eventually cure. It will just take longer. In the situation that it does not cure, you can apply another coat of clear OR color over the top or the tacky layer, and the tacky layer will eventually cure under the cured layer.
If it is more wet that tacky, you will need to scrape it up. Once you have removed the uncured epoxy, you can coat over the top with a new coat.
You do not have to purchase the color and the clear ($500). You can purchase color OR clear ($300).
