THe last 10x10 square I did last night I was running low on product. I had to mix in simply by feel A and B, or what I had left of it. I thought it was going to work out, but I obviously had a little too much of A mixed because most of the Epoxy Coat is dry and the small areas I did with that, aren't dry or don't look like they are dry because I can't actually touch them. Are there any recommendations guys?

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think you have a window of opportunity if the coating has not set to get more A&B and apply another coat while there is still a chemical reaction taking place. Or, if it is curing, just slowly, then let it fully cure; hit with a light sand paper and recoat that section.

It's a wait and see situation. If there is enough material down and you can scrape it, I would remove until just a film was left and then re-apply.

Yeah but how am I going to re apply Epoxy when there are only remnants left in the bucket and are more than likely all dried up?

Freefallin, call me at the office. I need to ask you some specific questions about the progress the coating is making. You may not need to scrape and recoat. Call me before you do anything on this.

The above photos represent the spot where I ran out of product and it hasn't dried and also where I laid the same product and it yellowed. I need some help here. The rest came out fantastic. Just very upset at myself for making this huge mistake. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Don't mix by feel, you'll get what you got - a gooey mess.

You need to call rugerlady first, she knows the coating the best and if anyone can help you, she can.

If it's mixed wrong, the only thing you can do is dump more hardener on and hope for the best (probably ruin the gloss in the process) or scrape it up and redo it. If there is not sufficient catalyst it will either never dry or just take forever. This also affects how hard and durable the finished product is.

Either way; call rugerlady. :)

I have left her a voice mail and am awaiting her response. At any rate, I hope I can scrape up just the spots that need attention. However, this poses another issue. I don't have another $200 laying around for a full kit of Epoxy-Coat. It's only a 10x10 section and inside that section, there are just a couple of spots that need attention.
