Epoxy-coat is down

I got the epoxy paint down and let me tell you so far it looks great, I loaded it with chips.. Now onto the clear tommorow.. 3 full kits just made it for my garage believe it or not.. 952 sq foot is my garage. I left my saw joints open and gonna prob fill them with something after everything dries. It looks pretty good open thou, it gives it a nice outline..I have a question thou can I throw more chips out after the clear for traction?

Congratulations on your new floor. Chips in the clear may help. We used a non-slip in the clear coat. Really glad we did as epoxy is slippery as goose sh.. when wet.

Delly, mix some anti-skid media into your clear for skid resistance. Sealed chips don't increase your cof much, if any.

These systems are very slippery when wet, as mentioned.

I don't have any anti skid, I'm going on 17 hours so I'm gonna go do the clear.. It's dry enough to walk on but if I take my finger nail and go back and fourth it makes a indent line, so I'm ready for clear. Gonna give it hell!!! Pictures to follow soon..

Congrats. You must be lucky enough to be somewhere other than the deep freeze that some of us are stuck in right now. I had plans to do my floor this weekend but temps are in the single digits and trying to heat the space is just a losing battle, so I'll have to wait (plus I won't get the shipment of crack filler til Monday). Something's got to give though, I have to have it done before the end of the month when I have to be out of my old garage.

heres some pics, first the epoxy with flake then the clear .. how long should i wait to park my cars in there, and would it be a good idea to put a square piece of thin rubber down to park on or a piece of plywood cut into small squares to park the tires on?

What color base and flakes did you use? How heavy on the flakes did you go (do you have any close-ups)?Also, what clear did you go with? I am very close to making the decision on what epoxy system to go with. I like that Epoxy-coat is a sponsor on here with great support. Your floor has the look I want.

Floor looks great. Being that it has been a month out, the OP should be able to say how it's held up so far. I'm sure he probably has moved things into that space now.

I used gray base with black blue and white flakes and used tons of flake, the flake hides scratches and chips if you get them and you will, my floor still looks great, I have moved everything in now put all my gladiator workbenches and cabinets in and I'm going to pick up my 4 post lift within the next couple days or so when we stop getting snow lol. I used the epoxy coat clear also, it is very slippery with wet feet, I have a small mat by the door as long as you wipe feet no problems.. I don't even sweep floor anymore I basically just blow it off and mop it lol.. Talk to epoxy-coat.com there great, I did a lot of research before buying and applying. It's a great product!! Got a question. After a year it still looks good, but I been working in there and I have had some spilt oil etc after mopping it up it kinda has a dull look in the clear now, when it's wet it looks great but dry I can see the difference.. Do they have a cleaner degreaser I can use to get oil stains etc out and bring shine back? Thx Jim.

I have the clear. But I got a couple stains in the floor from working in there and need to know what cleans the stains and bring the dullness out of that spot..
