epoxy-coat prep. question

I am getting ready to coat a 30 X 40 garage with a lift with epoxy-coat. My concrete is very hard. This is what I have done to prep it. I rented an Edco grinder with stones, not diamonds. I ground over it 4 or 5 times. I made a lot of dust but barely scratched the surface it seems. I vaccumed it up and then acid-washed it with the prep from Epoxy-Coat as directed. It only foamed for about 30 seconds. Some areas I did 2 or 3 times. Then I applied the baking soda as they directed, scrubbed and then power washed at 3100 psi. It is drying and it very clean, but does not feel as rough as I had hoped. Is the cleaniness or the roughness the most important? It is Saturday and the company is closed. I wanted to coat it first thing Monday morning to avoid some heat.

Also, I have a fairly large crack that needs filled. I know they told me to use an acrylic adhesive, but there are a few places that are too large for caulk. Any ideas what type of filler to use.

Just joined the list, outstanding!

Thanks for any help

Eddie

maybe too late- but if the crack is large use a foam backer rod (Quickcrete makes it) and a 100% solids epoxy patch for the crack. Caulk the backer rod into the crack to fill mopst of the gap and then use the patching compound to create a smoother surface.
