Epoxy Coat question

I have a 24' x 36' garage on a monolithic slab. It has a 4" - 8" "rat seal" (as we call it around here) around the base. I would like to paint it when I paint the floor with Epoxy Coat but wondered how difficult this is going to be. I do not plan on using the "specks" only color, but the dilemma I face is the "rat seal" is a brushed/broomed finish, while the floor is a semi-polished power trowel finish.

Is the Epoxy Coat thick enough to "hang" on the vertical surface? If so, will it dry in a fashion that covers the roughness of the brush/broom finish?

You might want to paint that rat wall the day before with a brush.

Thunder:
Painting of this curb is common. If you want a better appearance you can grind of the ridges and then coat it. Pauls340 is correct, best to mix up a small batch of the coating and take your time. Coat the balance of the floor once the curb is finished to your liking.
