I have a question or two. I am in the process of hiring a contractor to put up a medal building. I want to seal the concrete floors so I thinking Epoxy-Coat is what I am going to use. My first question is there a place to see some negative reviews or a place I can read about common mistakes? I this forum there are many good comments, and only few about needing help or measuring. I would like to learn from others mistakes so that this does not turn in to a costly project.
In regards to Prepping the concrete, what is the prep solution made of? It will be a medal building I don’t want to damage to the building or the finish on the medal with acid.
I have read most of this forums flooring section. I don’t see any one talk about how to transition from Epoxy-Coat back to concrete. For example under a roll up door or a section that will not be coated. What does it look like? What do you do to it so it looks good? I will be doing the work and would like it to look like a pro did it.
Has any one Epoxy-Coated there floor then built an office or small room on top of the Epoxy-Coat? Can I shoot the bottom plate of a wall threw the Epoxy-Coat with a concrete nail gun and not destroy the Epoxy-Coat? Or do I need to lay out the room and then not coat the floor where the walls will go? I would like the Epoxy-Coat on both sides of the wall.
Is there a product calculator? I looked on the web site and all I see it listed as one car or two car. I may have missed it but I would like to figure out what I would need to order and would like to figure it out by square feet.
I have one more. I read some where that after mixing do not scrape the bucket out when pouring the Epoxy-Coat out on to the floor. Why is that?
I hope this is not to many questions. I am sure I will have more as I get closer to the job.
