Epoxy coat slow shipping

I slaved the last few days prepping my garage floor for a new shiny layer of epoxy coat. I ordered a full kit last Monday, July 2nd, and received an invoice saying it was shipped Monday. Great! I'll have it by Friday at the latest (two day shipping from them to VA) and will apply over the weekend. Strangely, the last few days the tracking number shows the label had only been printed. Today it was updated to show delivery next Tuesday. It was only shipped today.

I realize that Wed was a holiday, but I'm disappointed it took a whole week to get this thing out the door. I'm in enough trouble with the wife after I spent so much time in the garage prepping and the fact that it will be out of commission for that much longer. Guess I'm spoiled with Amazon Prime. They can get me anything in two days. I just ordered a new pressure washer today and it will show up tomorrow for only $9 extra shipping.

So if you plan to use Epoxy Coat then order earlier. Don't expect fast shipping at all. At least my slab will be plenty dry. Maybe I should have ordered from Lowes?

Wow......only your 2nd post............... complaining about slow shipping four days after you ordered something....and on a holiday weekend.

Maybe you need to plan ahead a bit better.

Thanks trainer. I appreciate your contribution to my 2nd post. Maybe the fear of getting jumped on for thinking I had something to contribute has kept me from posting.

I've been on this forum reading for a long time and never had much to contribute. Don't have a fancy garage, don't have a fancy car or much knowledge. But I thought I'd post my experience because if I read of similar experiences maybe I would have planned differently. If I was told up front that I would not receive this until next week I wouldn't have ordered and gone elsewhere. Instead I was informed the day that I ordered that my product was shipped same day. It's not unrealistic to expect info like that to be correct is it?

So to be fair, Amazon Prime does spoil you. I've been using it for years and before I moved to Denver I was so close a facility that I got next day shipping for free on most items. That said, I notice now that when I order online anywhere else I am sadly disappointed with shipping speeds even if they are normal.

I agree you probably should have ordered sooner or perhaps called to confirm. Then again, sellers should turn off the shipping notification for the label. A lot of places only have 1 or 2 days during the week that they have the carriers come for pick up as it saves them money. One place I ordered some classic car parts from was extremely frustrating as they only had pick up once a week and my order didn't go in until right after the carrier was there. So one week until pick up and then 4 days ground... I won't be ordering there again.

Thanks for the heads up as I will probably be going with Epoxy Coat and now I need to order early. I don't want to order too early though as I am still waiting to close on the house and don't want this stuff sitting in my living room until then.

I placed my Epoxy Coat order on June 27th in the morning, and it still hasn't arrived yet. I can only do half the garage at a time, so the earliest I can finish is the 22nd of this month, almost a month after I had cleared and prepped the garage (June 24th). My wife is not too happy with all the woodworking power tools in the living room (planer, dust collector, bandsaws, drill presses ...).

I ordered 4 kits on June 22 (Friday) and I think I got them on June 25 (Monday) maybe it was Tuesday. I'm still prepping my floor, hoping to put it down tomorrow.

Here a tip from a senior. Consider it the voice of experience. If it can be done wrong, I've done it at least once in the past.
If its a pacing element of a project, make sure it's in hand before starting.

And, having posted over 2500 times in one other of many boards I belong to, i consider lurking unless you have a beneficial contribution is a considerate trait of a good member.

I'm sorry for the delay in shippng. Call me at the office and we can see what can be done. Though alot of business today is automated, there is still some room for human error. We normally ship same or next day. I think if you ask, most of my customers are very pleased with our shipping times.

Hi Christine. I received my kit today and look forward to putting the floor down tomorrow. I really appreciate the follow-up! I believe you when you say most customers are pleased with your shipping times because there aren't many complaints on this forum. Like with anything, errors happen. One of the key reasons I ordered from you is because of your involvement in this forum and making things right if it's at all possible.

I also received my kit on Monday, and look forward to putting it down this weekend. A little longer than expected, but if it turns out to be better than the stuff at Lowes, it's worth the wait.

I put mine down today. Totally worth the wait. I'll post pictures and feedback once everything is cleaned up. Very happy so far.
