Epoxy Coating, how thin can you spread it?

This may end up being a stupid question, but I'd rather ask it now than run into problems down the road.

I have a 24X12 shop that houses my boat...I want to epoxy the floor in there. All of the kits that I'm coming up claim that they will cover 250 square feet. I have +/- 288 suare feet. Can I spread this stuff a little thinner and get all of it with one application, or do I need to bite the bullet and pay the extra $60 and buy an additional kit? What do you guys think? Has anyone done a bay of this size? Thanks in advance.

Daniel

2 coats is pretty much the standard. You might be able to get by with one coat using a thick, self leveling epoxy, but more than likely the stuff you're looking at will require 2 coats to produce a nice finish.

If you're going through all the prework to put down epoxy, you might as well spring for the extra $60 kit to finish things up nice.
