Epoxy color combo advice?

Hi everyone,

I know this was asked numerous times before and it comes down to personal taste/style, but I'm not a very creative person... would you guys give me some ideas what epoxy color combo I should go with.

Background story:
I recently finished remodeling my garage. From day 1, I was set on black epoxy with gray/white flakes... apparently that is a big no no.

So my wall colors, trim, cabinets was all picked based on a black epoxy floor.... well honestly, it was suppose to have been black porcelain tiles, but had a change of heard last night after I started looking at epoxy again and some members on my car forum showed me some really nice epoxy floors.

So back to my dilemma, this is my garage how it sits right now (Eight 4ft LED ceiling mounted lights are already ordered)



After the floor is done, I will add on 6" black baseboard made out of pvc board that will match the door and window trim. I will seal it with silicone to wall and floor once everything is done.

So any recommendations on a epoxy floor color with flakes? I think going light gray will really not set the floor apart from the walls. Maybe dark gray with white and black flakes?

Oh come now. My vagon loves it some porcelain tile. I'm sure your v would love it too. Are you by chance referring to the epoxy thread on the car forum that failed btw? If so, he got lucky the installer was a stand up guy.

I'm pretty set on armorpoxy. But they do have couple different grays. I was thinking something like this, but not sure if it will be much of step up from black as far as not noticing starches, dust, dirt, etc.

Yup, I'm not debating that. But I think epoxy floor will be a lot easier to keep clean? Cr@p, will I have to go back to thinking about doing porcelain tiles.... my original plan was one of these tiles with very small grout in charcoal color:

And probably not the same thread you are talking about. On my car forum I just asked if I should go black epoxy vs porcelain and many people questioned my black color choice. Easy of keeping clean, reduced lighting, etc. And after I saw some pictures of nice epoxy floors, I started leaning towards epoxy and not porcelain anymore.... Thread stayed on and still is on topic, just many different pros and cons to both.

Black car / floor / trim ----- small garage will feel a whole lot smaller unless the walls and lighting are bright.

If you really want epoxy, I recommend a color/flake like the OP put down in the post below, because it is lighter and will feel larger or more expansive as others have said. Also, that color combo would go nicely with the black/red that you have in your cabinets. I wouldn't put any red in the floor because it can be overpowering. My 2 cents. And it's free.
