All,
Looking to get my garage finally done this year. 800 sq ft. Was built in 1986, I've done a moisture test, all good. Concrete does appear to be in very good condition. Yes I could live just fine with the floor as is but I'm just looking to customize it.

Lowest price I've found so far is $4K for a grind, 2 coats epoxy, sealer.

I'm getting another installer out for another quote and I'll ask about just grinding only. I'm positive I can handle the install after that. I know I want some type of poly or poly top due to I have about 4 big windows and the sun does shine up in there.

Color of installed product are of extreme importance to me. I have a very special muscle car. Color of car is 2002 and 2003 Corvette Electron Blue. I'm looking for a color besides grey that would really make the blue pop even more.. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I'm a fan of white, but I hear it can fade in the sunlight...

A properly done white floor with a white tinted EnduraShield urethane clear coat would look sharp. Or a full broadcast of our DecoFlake blend like our Orbit or Rainstorm?

I know you said you don't want grey, and I can understand that but how much have you considered full broadcast chip? Lots of choices and even if its in the grey family it would look classy and be a better backdrop for you ride IMO

Also, is DIY of the table completely?

Coating will by more than likely DIY. I'll probably get a contractor to grind though.

I wouldn't recommend making it white because of my friend's bad experience with this color. He complained about the poor quality of white paint. Also white shows the dirt so much, but it's the matter of taste

Grinding isn't hard, it is a messy job and takes time but nothing I would pay a ton to have done. Personally wouldn't go with the white, it looks cool but I doubt it would lay flat enough to look good, the waves, ripples, roller marks, and whatnot would drive me nuts but if you dig it go for it!!

This was my garage a while back (2010). I did all the work myself from scraping all the paint off the walls and grinding the concrete to laying it all down. If you got the time and patience you can def do it yourself. I got the Wolvering Epoxy product from Alpha Garage. The only thing that sucked for me down in florida was the clear got yellowish after a few years, I would probably do the same floor minus the clear in my new garage. I loved the white cause it made it easy to find stuff on the floor.

Yes, we've adjusted our recommendations since then. For white floors we recommend two coats of our EnduraShield 2254. The 1st coat is tinted white, the 2nd goes on clear.

Hi
If doing a white floor we would require that the final coat be our white non yellowing Armorultra military grade topcoat. If broadcasting flecks you need to broadcast onto the white topcoat and the clear over that. White epoxy will yellow and white polyaspartics require multiple coats making them very expensive.

I just looked on your website, and didnt see a plain white armorultra option. Is it not available, or is my internet skills degrading...? A link would be great if you have white

Please email us at below (not PM please) with job particulars size and such and if you want a solid color or flecks so we can get you a prompt kit quote, or more information needed.

Thank you very much.

Thanks all. I just received another quote from a company called Pentek. Their quote was $8.50 sq ft. Total price quoted was $6500 for 780 sq ft. They'd grind, 1 coat, then flakes, then clear. So, I asked them for a quote just to grind. Waiting on price for that.

Hi that doesn’t seem like a good value and would be a thin system. Require them to add a primer coat since when primed the epoxy won’t soak into the floor since the primer seals the surface and allows the epoxy to sit higher and the flecks better embedded and thicker.

Also full broadcasts of this is one normally need two coats to properly seal.

Yeah, that floor was pretty beat up to start with. This is a LiquaTile 1143 CFLC in solid Silver Gray. Smooth as a baby's ****.... ew, can I still say that?:headscrat
