Looks great! Can I ask how much the Supercoat costs at Sam's Club? Did it come as a kit?

How long did you wait before parking cars on the floor ?
Any trouble with tire pickup ?

It was about two weeks. Had that luxury b/c we were moving.

No problem with tire pick up. Have a couple of places where the tire tread is visible – like a light stain - think it is due to the tire shine used on the tires.

when comparing different epoxy flloors - costs etc. you need to compare water based epoxies to solvent based epoxies to solvent free epoxies. Also consider that the manufactures have to sell the cheapest, lowest end products to the box stores due to competition, power of the buying department of the box store, etc. Figure that the box stores double the price of what they pay for the products and you can see out cheap the product has to be to get into the stores.

Be sure in real hot weather, let your tires cool down before parking the car on your floor. I have recoated plenty of peeled up floors because of this. Great looking floor from a DIY guy!

Thanks,
I drive right in all the time and I have no problem with tire pick up, I think the prep is key here. Good bond to the concrete

Impressed by your results. I would like to know how much work is involved in sanding the floor. Also, did you use a primer before using the SuperCoat? Thanks a ton for your write-up.

The floor was never sealed so I didn't need to sand it, we just acid etched it.
Supercoat doesen't need a primer, I asked their tech guy and he confirmed no primer needed.

Love the garage! Inspiring actually!

Are your floors still holding up well? Have you ever jacked up a car on them with a normal floor jack?

It is nice that you still follow up on your post and answer questions. I think supercoat seems to have the best value.

here's a gif of my garage floor getting epoxy applied: https://imgur.com/gallery/Ilgbxcd
21' x 23' garage
3 days start to finish
40 year old concrete slab with 3 not-bad cracks
pro install with grinder instead of just muriatic acid etch
sparse broadcast of 3 color flake
gloss top coat
$2,100 all in
